CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Don Messerly called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present were Lynette Kreidler, Don Messerly, Anita Larson, Dorothy McClung, Megan Ricke, <br />Rich Straumann, Jim Johnson, Lou Speggen, Brian Fritsinger and Lois Rem. <br />2. APPROVE MINUTES <br />Minutes were approved by Rich Straumann and seconded by Megan Ricke. The minutes were <br />passed unanimously. <br />0 3. COUNCIL REPORT <br />Councilmember Rem had the following report: <br />• New Committees have been structured as follows: <br />1. Parks & Recreation Commission <br />2. Planning Commission <br />3. Communications Committee <br />4. Operations and Finance Committee <br />The new committee structure will be discussed at the May 17`b City Council meeting and <br />an annual meeting will be held to discuss vacancies on different committees. <br />• Task forces will be created for four different projects. One this year will be on the <br />Public Works/Parks Maintenance facility. <br />• May 19"' is Neighborhood Night Out. <br />• Summer hours for City Hall begin on June 1, 1999. <br />• Opening day for Little Lakes Little League is May 8 at 11:00, Sitzer Park. <br />• Work has begun at Tony Schmidt Park. <br />• "d Flower gardens will be planted on May 22 <br />
