• MINUTES <br /> PARKS, TRAILS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY,MAY 22,2001, 7:00 P.M. <br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> 4634 W. ROUND LAKE ROAD <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson Johnson called the May 22, 2001 meeting of the Parks, Trails and Recreation <br /> Committee to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT <br /> Members present were Jim Johnson, Don Tix (7:08 p.m.), Jim Crassweller, Rich <br /> Straumann, Don Messerly, Steve Zilmer, Patrick Krenn, Tom Moore, Council Liaison <br /> Gregg Larson, and Joan Lenzmeier,Recording Secretary. <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT <br /> Members absent were Louis Speggen. <br /> • APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> The Agenda was approved by consensus. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Messerly moved and Committee Member <br /> Crassweller seconded the motion to approve the April 24, 2001 minutes as <br /> presented. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> PARK AND RECREATION UPDATE <br /> Mr. Moore reported that the play structures were up at Floral and Sampson Parks and <br /> noted the final grading needed to be completed with sod and seed as soon as the part time <br /> summer help starts. He also reported that the vegetable gardens are up and running and <br /> that Staff has put weed and feed on all the parks. He further reported that the bridge was <br /> out at Crepeau Park and had to be repaired. <br /> Mr. Moore reported that, in conjunction with friends of the park, Council Member Larson <br /> had donated crabapple trees that were planted on both sides of the trail in Floral Park <br /> • from the picnic structure to the play structure.
