CONSENT ITEM – 5K <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: May 31, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Susan Iverson, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sara Grant, Parks and Recreation Coordinator <br /> John Anderson, Acting Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Accepting Donation from the Arden Hills Foundation <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Arden Hills Foundation has been established as a 501c3 organization. Pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03 for the benefit of its citizens, cities are authorized to accept <br />gift and bequest for the benefits of recreational services. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Arden Hills Foundation has donated $2,500 to the City of Arden Hills for improvements <br />made to the Ingerson Park Basketball System. To comply with State Statutes, the City needs to <br />acknowledge the donation and issue receipt of the donation to the Arden Hills Foundation. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Motion to approve Resolution 2016-016, a resolution accepting a donation from the Arden Hills <br />Foundation in the amount of $2,500. <br /> <br />Attachment <br /> <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2016-016 <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM
