<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: June 13, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Authorization to Appoint Julie Hanson as City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the May 31, 2016, Regular City Council meeting the City Council accepted the resignation of Amy Dietl <br />as City Clerk effective June 10, 2016. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee posted the position internally per the Personnel Policy. One letter of interest in the <br />position was received from Deputy Clerk Julie Hanson. The Personnel Committee reviewed this and <br />recommends Julie Hanson for this position as she is currently the Deputy Clerk and the backup to the City <br />Clerk position. The Personnel Committee recommends that the City Council appoint Julie Hanson as the <br />City Clerk and place her in the current pay grade for the City Clerk at Step 3. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />1. A motion to appoint Julie Hanson as the City Clerk, Grade 13, Step 3, effective June 13, 2016. <br /> <br />
