I't <br /> --A1pEN_ HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2016-020 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING RAMSEY COUNTY'S <br /> REQUEST FOR FEDERAL FUNDING FOR LEXINGTON AVENUE <br /> ROAD IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has partnered with Ramsey County and the City of <br /> Shoreview to best serve transportation needs of the residents of the region; <br /> WHEREAS,traffic congestion is a major problem along the Lexington Avenue corridor; <br /> WHEREAS, The pavement surface is failing due to excessive rutting and is creating a <br /> safety hazard during rain events, due to stormwater collecting in the rutted wheelpaths; <br /> WHEREAS,pedestrian facilities along this corridor are included in both Ramsey County <br /> and Arden Hills long range planning documents; <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey County, the Minnesota Department of Transportation and City of <br /> Arden Hills have already invested in pedestrian facilities along this corridor; <br /> WHEREAS,these improvements will benefit commuters throughout the region. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City of Arden Hills supports Ramsey <br /> County's request for Federal funding to construct these needed improvements. <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS <br /> 27" DAY OF JUNE, 2016. <br /> David 6iant, MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> J ie Hanson, CITY CLERK <br />
