Section 1250.02 - Temporary On-premise Signs <br /> <br />Dimensions <br />The Sign Code permits the property to have one temporary freestanding sign not to exceed 22.5 <br />square feet in area or a height of 12 feet. As proposed, the sign would have a copy area of 120 <br />square feet. The temporary sign would be installed on top of an existing monument sign, which <br />is 7 feet in height. The overall height of the sign installation would be 13 feet. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Duration <br />Under the Sign Code, a temporary sign may be displayed for no more than 30 days per calendar <br />year. Land O’Lakes has proposed to have the sign in place from late July to the end of October <br />2016, or approximately 90 days. <br /> <br />2. Section 1260 - Sign Standard Adjustments <br /> <br />Section 1260.01 of the Sign Code permits adjustments to sign height, number, type, lighting, <br />area, and/or location through the Site Plan Review process if criteria number 1 or 2 is met and <br />the required criteria number 3 is met: <br /> <br />1. There are site conditions which require a sign adjustment to allow the sign to be <br />reasonably visible from a street immediately adjacent to the site; or, <br /> <br />2. The sign adjustment will allow a sign of exceptional design or a style that will enhance <br />the area or that is more consistent with the architecture and design of the site; and <br /> <br />3. The sign adjustment will not result in a sign that is inconsistent with the purpose of the <br />zoning district in which the property is located or the current land use. <br /> <br /> <br />Findings of Fact <br /> <br />The Planning Commission reviewed Planning Case 16-018 at their regular meeting on July 6, <br />2016. Draft minutes from the meeting are included in Attachment E.
