Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: August 12, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Sue Iverson, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: John Anderson, Acting Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Establish Emergency High Water Declaration on Lake Johanna <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution 2016-027 Establishing Emergency Highwater Declaration on Lake Johanna <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council established a procedure for declaring a High Water emergency on Lake <br />Johanna in 2012 in Resolution 2012-018. This procedure calls for a No Wake sign be posted <br />when the lake reaches a particular elevation (879.50). It also requires the posting remain in <br />place until the level recedes to 879.30 for a minimum of 24 hours. <br /> <br /> Discussion <br /> <br />On 8/11/16 Public Works Staff observed the gauge on Lake Johanna to be at 2.50 which <br />indicates an elevation of 879.50. Staff has verified with Ramsey County Staff the gauge reading <br />and the calibration of the gauge. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2016-027 <br /> Agenda Item – 1A <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
