<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: August 29, 2016 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />EMERGENCY CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 12, 2016 <br />7:30 A.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Pro Tem Holden called to order the <br />Emergency City Council meeting at 7:32 a.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Pro Tem Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes and Dave McClung <br /> <br /> Excused: Mayor David Grant and Councilmember Jonathan Wicklund <br /> <br /> Also present: Interim City Administrator Sue Iverson; Acting Public Works Director John <br />Anderson; and City Attorney Joel Jamnik <br /> <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting agenda as presented. The motion carried <br />unanimously (3-0). <br /> <br /> <br />1. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Adopt Resolution 2016-027 Emergency High Water Declaration on Lake Johanna <br />in Arden Hills <br /> <br />The high water level at Lake Johanna due to recent rainfall activity was discussed. <br /> <br />Acting Public Works Director Anderson stated he would notify Ramsey County and the <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) regarding declaration of the emergency, <br />temporary “no wake zone” on Lake Johanna and would provide a copy of approved Resolution <br />2016-027 to both entities. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if the process could be changed to allow the Mayor the authority <br />to declare an emergency without requiring an emergency City Council meeting. <br />
