<br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6D <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: September 12, 2016 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Interim City Administrator <br /> Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of Customer Service Specialist <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At the July 11, 2016, City Council Meeting, the City Council authorized staff to advertise for the <br />vacancy in the Customer Service Specialist position due to the promotion of Jolene Trauba to the <br />position of Deputy Clerk. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />In total, the City received 107 applications for the Customer Service Specialist position. The <br />Interim City Administrator, City Clerk, and the Assistant City Administrator from the City of <br />Mounds View interviewed thirteen of those applicants. The top candidate is Britt Pease. The <br />Personnel Committee met on August 30, 2016, and reviewed the applicant’s materials and <br />recommends appointing Britt Pease to the position of Customer Service Specialist. Britt’s <br />application was sent to the City Council under separate cover. <br /> <br />References and Criminal background checks have been completed. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />1. The Personnel Committee recommends appointing Britt Pease to the position of Customer <br />Service Specialist for the City of Arden Hills at Pay Grade 7, Step 9. <br />
