1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2016-009 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 <br />OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE TO <br />CREATE A TREE SERVICE LICENSE <br /> <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Arden Hills City Code Chapter 3, Licenses and Regulations, Section 310, <br />Fees, Subsection 310.01, Establishment of Fees by Ordinance shall be amended by adding the <br />following language: <br /> <br />⋅ Tree service license <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. Arden Hills City Code Chapter 3, Licenses and Regulations, shall be <br />amended by adding the following language: <br /> <br />Section 390 – Tree Service <br /> <br /> 390.01 License Required. <br /> <br />Any person engaging in a business that maintains, trims, removes, or treats trees or shrubs within <br />the City must obtain a license from the City. <br /> <br />390.02 Applications. <br /> <br />(A) Application for a license shall be made on a form approved by the City. <br /> <br />(B) The annual fee for a license shall be in the amount established by the City Council <br /> <br />(C) All licenses issued shall expire on December 31 following the date of issue. <br /> <br /> 390.03 Liability Insurance. <br /> <br />No license or renewal shall be granted, nor be effective, until the applicant files with the City <br />proof of a public liability insurance policy covering all operations of such applicant under this <br />chapter for the sum of at least two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) against liability for bodily <br />injuries to one person from the accident, two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) for the injury of <br />two (2) or more persons, and for at least two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) against liability for <br />damage or destruction to property.
