<br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 2016-009 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 <br />OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE TO <br />CREATE A TREE SERVICE LICENSE <br /> <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on November 14, 2016, Ordinance No. 2016-009 <br />was adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota. <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance No. <br />2016-009, the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication: <br /> <br /> Ordinance No. 2016-009 amends Arden Hills City Code Chapter 3, Licenses and <br />Regulations, Section 310, Fees, Subsection 310.01, Establishment of Fees by Ordinance by <br />establishing a tree service license fee. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 2016-009 amends Arden Hills City Code Chapter 3, Licenses and <br />Regulations by adding Section 390 – Tree Service requiring any person engaging in a business <br />that maintains, trims, removes, or treats trees or shrubs within the City to obtain a license; <br />requiring licensees to have public liability insurance for bodily injury and property damage; <br />requiring licensees to have workers compensation insurance; requiring applicants for licenses to <br />apply pesticides or chemicals to file proof of certification or licensure by the state department of <br />agriculture as a commercial applicator; requiring licensees to abide by all American National <br />Standards Institute (ANSI) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) <br />regulations while operating within the City limits; requiring licensees to display their license at <br />all times while operating as a business in the City limits; and prescribing penalties for violations. <br /> <br /> A printed copy of the whole ordinance is available for inspection by any person during <br />the City’s regular office hours or on the City’s website. <br /> <br /> APPROVED for publication by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills this 14th day <br />of November, 2016. <br /> <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> By: ____________________________ <br /> David Grant, Mayor <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />By: ____________________________ <br /> Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br /> <br />Published in the Shoreview-Arden Hills Bulletin the 23rd day of November, 2016.
