Approved: December 12, 2016 CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 14, 2016 ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Grant called to order the City Council Work Session at 7:51 p.m. Present: Mayor David Grant; Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, and Dave McClung Absent: Councilmember Jonathan Wicklund (excused) Also present: Interim City Administrator Sue Iverson; Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer Andy Brotzler; Interim City Planner Eric Zweber; and City Clerk Julie Hanson 1. AGENDA ITEMS A. TCAAP Open House Update Interim City Planner Zweber stated the City would hold an open house on November 16 to provide the community with an opportunity to convey input to the City Council and Master Development Team on the updated development plans for the TCAAP site. A mailing had been sent to all residents in the City and information on the event had been posted on the City’s website and Facebook page. Interim City Planner Zweber reported the City’s communications consultant would be in attendance at the work session to provide the City Council with an update on planning efforts for the open house. A copy of the community survey was to be distributed at the event and would be provided at the meeting for the City Council’s review. Members of the Master Development Team would be in attendance at the work session as well to present the draft boards that would be used at the different topic stations. Mike Zipko, the communications consultant, understood that a portion of the City’s postcards had already been delivered, while a small portion had yet to be delivered. Mayor Grant expressed frustration with the postcard delivery situation.
