Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Request for Proposals – City Hall Assessment & TCAAP Civic Site <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br />Authorize the City Administrator to issue the Request for Proposals for Lifecycle and <br />Maintenance Assessment of Existing City Hall and Conceptual Design, Site Assessment, Cost <br />Estimation and Community Engagement Facilitation for the TCAAP Site (Attachment A). <br /> <br />Background <br />The City has been offered an option to purchase the 1.6 acre Civic zoned property on the <br />TCAAP site. A Civic Site Task Force is being created to look at the possibility of building and <br />operating a public facility on the property. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />The RFP outlines two phases for the project as well as one alternate. <br />• Phase 1 – Lifecycle and Maintenance Assessment of Existing City Hall <br />• Phase 2 – Conceptual Design, Site Assessment , Cost Estimation and Community <br />Engagement Facilitation for the TCAAP Civic Site <br />• Alternate 1 – Assessment of Space Needs of the Public Works Facility <br /> <br />Staff has identified a list of architects with experience in municipal projects. In addition to <br />sending the RFP to these architects, the RFP could be advertised on the League of Minnesota <br />Cities and American Institute of Architects – Minnesota websites. <br /> <br />Recommended Action <br />Authorize the City Administrator to issue the Request for Proposals <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />Attachment A: Request for Proposals for Lifecycle and Maintenance Assessment of <br />Existing City Hall and Conceptual Design, Site Assessment, Cost <br />Estimation and Community Engagement Facilitation for the TCAAP Site <br />NEW BUSINESS – 8E <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br />
