<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: February 13, 2017 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />DECEMBER 19, 2016 <br />5:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Grant called to order the City Council <br />Work Session at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor David Grant, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Dave <br />McClung and Jonathan Wicklund <br /> <br /> Absent: None <br /> <br /> Also present: Interim City Administrator Sue Iverson, Interim City Planner Eric Zweber, <br />Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer Sue Polka, Deputy City Clerk Jolene Trauba, <br />Ramsey County Undersheriff Soukkala, and Ramsey County Deputy Sheriff Casey <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes requested the Council receive comment from the Ramsey County <br />Undersheriff on the Highway 10 and County Road 96 intersection. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant suggested item 1D be discussed after Item 1A. <br /> <br /> <br />1. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Traffic and Speed <br /> <br />Ramsey County Undersheriff Terry Soukkala reviewed a report with the Council on traffic and <br />speed. He described how the County addressed speed complaints. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant questioned if the number of speed citations was on the rise. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Undersheriff Soukkala stated he did not have this information in front of him, <br />but he anticipated that citations were on the rise. He commented that he received far more <br />parking complaints than complaints on speed. He indicated he was more than willing to address <br />this issue on behalf of the City. <br />
