ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL — MARCH 13, 2017 3
6. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS
A. Motion to Authorize the Purchase of a 2018 Mack Chassis and Towmaster
Dump Truck
Mayor Grant believed it would be best to table action on this item to a future agenda until further
research could be conducted by staff regarding the City's needs for TCAAP and so all five
Councilmembers could be in attendance. He also wanted to know more information about the
item that would be sold. He requested further information on how the last purchase worked from
the County and understood this matter was not time critical.
Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka explained this was not a time sensitive
item.
MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved to table action on the purchase of a 2018
Mack Chassis Towmaster Dump Truck. The motion carried (3-0).
7. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Rice Creek Commons (TCAAP) Development Discussion Opportunity for
Residents
Mayor Grant stated under the Public Hearing section, citizens would have an opportunity to
discuss ideas regarding the TCAAP development.
Mayor Grant opened the public hearing at 7:11 p.m.
With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:12 p.m.
B. Resolution 2017-008 Adopting and Confirming Quarterly Special Assessments
for Delinquent Utilities
Director of Finance and Administrative Services Iverson requested the Council adopt and
confirm the quarterly special assessments for delinquent utilities. She explained a list of utility
accounts with a delinquent balance was compiled and notices dated February 8, 2017, were
mailed. These customers were informed of their delinquent status and were asked to make
payment of the delinquent balance by March 8, 2017. Utility accounts with an unpaid delinquent
balance after March 8, 2017, would be certified to Ramsey County to be added to property taxes
payable in 2018. The certification amount is equal to the unpaid delinquent balance plus an eight
percent penalty.
Mayor Grant opened the public hearing at 7:13 p.in.
With no one coming forward to speak, Mayor Grant closed the public hearing at 7:14 p.m.
