The play <br />structure is a steel structure that is showing signs of wear. The wood surrounding the <br />structure is in poor condition and the steel is rusting. The 2016 Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP) identified the play structure replacement in 2016 (Attachment A). <br /> <br />The existing play structure at Hazelnut Park was installed in the summer of 1997. The <br />play structure has needed multiple repairs in the last two years. The play structure is <br />identified in the CIP to be replaced in 2017 (Attachment B). <br /> <br />The playground at Perry Park receives heavy use during the adult softball season. The <br />trail connections around Perry Park make it easily accessible for many families in Arden <br />Hills and surrounding communities. <br /> <br />The playground at Hazelnut Park receives heavy use from the neighborhood and the City <br />of Arden Hills run Summer Playground Program. In the summer, the park has an average <br />of 50 participants every day. <br />
