Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Matthew Bachler, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Resolution 2017-011 Appointing Brendan O’Meara to the Economic <br />Development Commission (EDC) for a Term Expiring December 31, 2019 <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commission (EDC) currently has seven members. The guidelines <br />state that this committee can have up to nine members comprised of residents or non-residents <br />affiliated with an Arden Hills business. A minimum of four residents must be represented on the <br />Commission. Currently, six EDC members are residents of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Staff recently received an application from Brendan O’Meara, who is a resident of Arden Hills. <br />An interview panel consisting of Council Liaison Dave McClung, Chair Dan Erickson, and <br />Senior Planner Matthew Bachler interviewed Mr. O’Meara on April 3, 2017.
