Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: Lift Station No. 3 —Pump and Piping Replacement <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $60,000 $34,752.00 2017 Sewer Budget <br /> Requested Action <br /> Approve quotes from Electric Pump to replace two pumps and associated piping at Lift Station <br /> No. 3 in the amount of$34,752 (Attachment A). <br /> Discussion <br /> Lift station No. 3 is currently in need of a new mixer. While the cost to replace just the mixer is <br /> $9,000, the existing pumps are approximately 20 years old and a brand that does not operate with <br /> the City's standardized equipment that is being installed as lift stations are upgraded. Staff is <br /> recommending that the pumps be replaced with new Flygt pumps, 1 flush valve and associated <br /> piping. The total cost for equipment and installation is $34,752.00.
