<br />City of Arden Hills <br />Planning Commission Meeting for October 5, 2016 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: October 5, 2016 PC Agenda Item 5.A <br /> <br />TO: Planning Commission Chair Thompson and Commissioners <br /> <br />FROM: Matthew Bachler, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Report from the City Council <br /> <br /> <br />September 12, 2016 City Council Regular Meeting <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed and approved Planning Case 16-017 for a side yard setback variance <br />at 1536 Edgewater Avenue. This case was reviewed by the Planning Commission on August 3, <br />2016, and received a recommendation for approval (5-0). <br /> <br />The City Council also approved Planning Case 16-019 for a PUD Amendment and CUP <br />Amendment for the Holiday Station at 1920 West Highway 96. An amendment to the approved <br />PUD and CUP was needed to allow Holiday to complete a 296 square foot addition to the <br />convenience retail store. The Planning Commission recommended approval (5-0) of this case at <br />their meeting on August 3, 2016. <br /> <br /> <br />September 19, 2016 City Council Work Session <br /> <br />Representatives from Bremer Bank and Frauenshuh met with the City Council to discuss a <br />concept plan for a possible Planned Unit Development at the southwest corner of Lexington <br />Avenue and County Road F. The plans call for replacing the existing Bremer Bank with a new <br />facility, as well as the development of a daycare facility and multi-tenant commercial building on <br />the site. A formal application would be required for the PUD, and would include a public hearing <br />with the Planning Commission and City Council review. <br /> <br /> <br />September 26, 2016 City Council Regular Meeting <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed and approved Planning Case 16-022 for a side setback variance at <br />1500 Arden Place. This case was reviewed by the Planning Commission on September 7, 2016, <br />and received a unanimous recommendation for approval (7-0). <br /> <br />
