MEMORANDUM

COMM. NO.: 6131.001.28
CLIENT: Boston Scientific
PROJECT: Daycare parking lot

SUBJECT: Land Use Application Narrative
MEMO BY: Joe Ford, RSP Architects
DATE: January 6, 2017

ATTENTION: Matthew Bachler, Senior Planner, City of Arden Hills
COPY: Lorne Rothbauer, Boston Scientific

Boston Scientific proposes to construct a new parking and drop-off area to the east of their existing
Building 10, between the building and Innovation Way. The purpose of the new parking area is to provide
off-street short-term parking and curbside drop-off for the day care facility on the first floor of Building
10. The off-street parking area will resolve existing safety issues where parents dropping off children for
day care must use on-street stalls along Innovation Way and have to back into a traffic lane to exit the on-
street stalls.

The scope of the project includes: 7 parking stalls, 3 curb-side drop-off spaces, and associated driveways
and sidewalks. Additional work includes landscaping and exterior lighting at the new parking and
sidewalk areas.
