Administrative Director Worthington commented updates would be provided verbally and /or in <br />writing on a monthly basis. <br /> <br />Commissioner Grant asked if City officials had to go through the County with questions for <br />Kimley-Horn. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer explained that technically the infrastructure study contract was <br />with the County. <br /> <br />Administrative Director Worthington commented that the contract was intended to have the <br />City and County at the table with the consultants working as a team. She clarified that Terry <br />Maurer and Beth Engum were leading the effort. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />None <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />Process for Appointment of Advisory Boards <br /> <br />Administrative Director Worthington presented research on a process to appoint members to <br />advisory boards to the JDA and recommended an appointment process as follows: <br /> <br />1. JDA would establish the advisory board and call for applicants at that meeting <br />2. The notice would be posted on the City and County websites, and at City Hall in writing <br />3. Applications would be received until the middle of the following month (about 2 weeks <br />prior to the next JDA meeting) <br />4. Applicants would submit an application form, along with their resume or curriculum <br />vitae <br />5. All JDA members could review candidates and recommend one candidate per <br />commissioner, with the JDA Chair appointing the chair of the advisory board <br />6. The majority of advisory board members would be either residents or business owners <br />in Arden Hills; all candidates must reside or own a business in Ramsey County. <br /> <br />Applicants would fill out the advisory board application form. Staff requested the JDA make a <br />formal call for applicants for the Energy Resilience Advisory Board. Notice would be posted on <br />the City and County websites and at the Arden Hills City Hall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holden questioned how many members would be on the advisory board. <br /> <br />Administrative Director Worthington reported the advisory board would have five <br />commissioners. Each commissioner on the JDA could recommend one advisory board member. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the makeup of the advisory board.
