For example, Xcel Energy’s Energy <br />Design Assistance Program could create a service path that specifically addresses SB 2030 buildings and <br />their requirements. <br />8.5.1.2. Low-Density Residential Design and Development Guidelines <br />For single-family homes and low-density residential development, implementation of a low-cost <br />energy-focused set of guidelines is more challenging. One more modest option is Minnesota Green <br />Path, which offers a relatively cost-effective path towards two different levels of home energy- <br />efficiency and sustainable site development.31 Requiring homes to be Green Path Certified, for <br />example, is one way to avoid additional burden on plan reviewers, as the certification process would <br />be administered by a third-party.
