2014 Budget Recommendation <br />Ms. Worthington reviewed an amended 2014 budget with the JDA. She noted the line item for <br />economic development services was increased. <br />Motion by Commissioner Ortega seconded by Commissioner Grant to approve the 2014 JDA <br />budget as amended. Motion carried. <br />Development Director's Report <br />Development Director Hutmacher stated that the second TCAAP Open House was held on <br />Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Approximately 100 people were in attendance despite the frigid <br />temperatures. Positive feedback was received from the Open House and consultants were <br />working to compile the comments. <br />Development Director Hutmacher reported that at a special work session meeting on January <br />27, 2014, the Arden Hills City Council directed staff to begin working on a scope of work and <br />RFP for a surface water management study. This would be done in partnership with Ramsey <br />County. This study would take four to six months to complete and would address drainage, <br />grading and the function of the water feature. The scope of work would be ready for the Arden <br />Hills City Council to review by the beginning of March. A consultant should be selected by the <br />end of March. <br />Administrative Director's Report <br />December/January Prosect Report <br />Administrative Director Worthington explained sub -grade and soil remediation continues on <br />the site. It was noted the extreme cold this winter has brought the frost down five feet. She <br />noted Building 402 was almost completely abated of asbestos. This building would be <br />demolished in late spring. <br />Administrative Director Worthington indicated she received a call from a gentleman in England <br />that had recently unearthed four 50 caliber shells near the Heathrow Airport that were marked <br />TCAAP. She explained this gentleman was working on a 70 year D -Day tribute and was <br />gathering information for this event. <br />Commissioner Grant suggested staff request pictures of the shells. <br />Commissioner Updates <br />Commissioner Huffman discussed the State of the Region address as presented by Sue Haigh <br />last week noting the BRT A Line was proposed to be extended to TCAAP. <br />
