State of the City Notes – Thursday, September 12, 2013 <br />2013 Attendance: <br />- 92 RSVP’s were received <br />- RSVP’s that attended = 56 (61%) <br />- Non-RSVP’s that attended = 19 <br />- Total Attendance = 75 <br /> <br />According to the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, 70% of RSVPs attend free events. Approximately 20% <br />of attendees are walk-ins. <br />Future State of the City – Punch List <br />1) Double check PA system <br />2) 2 working microphones <br />a. One for the Speaker <br />b. Additional one for questions from audience <br />3) Different layout of the space if Flaherty’s Arden Bowl is used for the event again <br />a. Podium and screen in SW corner <br />4) Slide design and transitions <br />a. Speakers need to be able to smoothly transition slides <br />b. Consider rehearsal for speakers and slide movers <br />c. Wireless mouse/remote for computer/projector <br />5) Food <br />a. Not just donuts <br />b. Maybe a variety of pastries <br />c. Add eggs and one meat <br />6) Larger table to place nametags and sign-in sheets <br />a. The entryway got a bit congested at times <br />b. Have enough staff to assist with registration; divide pre-registered by alphabet to speed <br />check-in <br />c. Note which pre-registered attendees came (or retain unused nametags) <br />d. Send reminder email to RSVPs <br />7) Advertising and promotion <br />a. 2 ads in Shoreview-Arden Hills Bulletin <br />b. City newsletter <br />c. Announcements at Council meeting <br />d. Website business news and home page <br />e. Cable Bulletin <br />f. 2 post card mailings to business license list <br />g. Post card delivery by EDC members <br />h. Facebook and Twitter
