<br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-017 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE 0.5 MG WATER TOWER REHABILITATIION <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisements for bids for the rehabilitation of the 0.5 MG water <br />tower project, bids were received on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., opened, and tabulated <br />according to the law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder Base Bid (2017 Completion) Alt. Bid (2018 Completion) <br />Osseo Construction Co., LLC $568,800.00 $519,800.00 <br />Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. $647,950.00 $687,950.00 <br />Champion Coatings $719,950.00 $691,850.00 <br />Maguire Iron, Inc. $745,550.00 $696,550.00 <br />TMI Coatings, Inc. $817,884.00 $809,884.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Osseo Construction Co., LLC, of Osseo, Wisconsin is the <br />lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated bid price of $568,800 (Base Bid) and $519,800 (Bid <br />Alternate); <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN <br />HILLS, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and City administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with Osseo Construction, Co., LLC, of Osseo, Wisconsin for the Bid Alternate, as <br />recommended by the City Engineer, for $519,800.00 in the name of the City of Arden Hills <br />for the above improvements according to the plans and specifications thereof heretofore <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br /> <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 26TH DAY <br />OF JUNE, 2017. <br /> <br /> DAVID GRANT, MAYOR <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />JULIE HANSON, CITY CLERK
