Mr. Strowka <br />asked for the support of the Parks and Recreation Committee and the City Council. <br /> <br />Committee Members Josh Bloyer and Keri Bloyer arrived at 5:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Committee Member Finlay asked if they will be alerting kids to be careful on the <br />bike lanes on the streets. Mr. Stralka stated there will be education pieces put in <br />place. <br /> <br />Committee Member Finlay asked if there are plans to put licenses on bicycles. Mr. <br />Stralka said not at this time as they can’t request state law changes. <br /> <br />Mr. Oyanagi said there will be a community engagement primer to make it easier <br />for developing a comprehensive plan in relationship to pedestrian and bicycle <br />issues, street or trail projects. <br /> <br />Chair Straumann asked Committee Member Van Valkenburg to review the <br />resolution and bring a recommendation to the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />B. Sampson Trail Project <br /> <br />Resident Dennis Werner is proposing a dog obstacle/challenge course for a portion <br />of his property adjacent to Sampson Park that would be built by volunteers and <br />maintained by the city. Committee members will see the area on the trail tour. <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> <br />MOTION: Committee Member Finlay moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:55 p.m., seconded by <br />Council Liaison Fran Holmes. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br /> <br />PTRC Trial Tour followed the meeting. <br /> <br />
