Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br />Dave Perrault, Interim Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Authorization to Appoint Communications Coordinator Position <br /> <br /> <br />Background and Discussion <br /> <br />This spring, the City Council directed staff to recruit applicants for a newly created part- <br />time Communications Coordinator position. <br /> <br />The recruitment process resulted in eleven applicants for the position. Six applicants <br />were interviewed by the Public Works Director, the Interim Director of Finance and <br />Administrative Services, and the City Clerk. Second round interviews were held that <br />included the City Administrator and the City Clerk. After completing the interviews, the <br />top candidate was determined to be Alexandria Olson. <br /> <br />Ms. Olson’s resume will be provided to the Council under separate cover. <br /> <br />Council Action <br /> <br />Staff recommends appointing Alexandria Olson to the position of Communications <br />Coordinator at Pay Grade 10, Step 1 at a minimum of twenty-five hours per week and <br />benefits pro-rated accordingly. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
