Motion to Approve Resolution No. 2017-020 – Services Agreement with Great <br />Lakes Recycling, Inc. for Collection of Soft Recyclables <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to authorize <br />execution of all necessary documents contained therein. The motion carried 3- <br />1 (Scott opposed). <br /> <br />7. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />9. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Resolution 2017-021 – 2017 Seal Coat Project – Approve Plans and Specs and <br />Authorize Ad for Bids <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka reported the 2017 Street Budget has an item in the <br />amount of $150,000 for street seal coating and resurfacing. This year the staff recommendation <br />was to spend the majority of the budget on seal coating and crack sealing with a portion of the <br />funds used for bituminous patching and crack sealing. The total length to be seal coated was <br />approximately 2.5 miles. Staff estimated the expense for this project would be $130,000. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to adopt Resolution #2017-021 Approving Plans and Specifications <br />and Authorizing Advertisement for bids for the 2017 Seal Coat Contract. <br />The motion carried (4-0). <br /> <br /> B. Perry Park – Approve Scope of Services for Park Planning and Grant <br />Application Assistance – WSB & Associates <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka reported in the past, the MN Department of <br />Natural Resources had matching grant funding available for park improvements.
