ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – AUGUST 14, 2017 5 Councilmember Holden asked if the neighborhood would be notified of the new signage. Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka commented the City would be posting signage notifying the neighborhood of the new stop signs. The motion carried (5-0). B. Adopt Resolution 2017-2022 Receiving the Feasibility Report and Calling for a Public Hearing on Improvements for the 2018 Street and Utility Improvement Project (2018 PMP) Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka stated on April 24, 2017 the Council adopted Resolution 2017-012 ordering the preparation of a Feasibility Report for the 2018 Pavement Management Program (PMP) project. This 2018 PMP consists of improvements to the following streets: Streets proposed for reconstruction: • Indian Oaks Court between James Avenue and the cul-de-sac • Indian Oaks Trail between Hamline Avenue N and the cul-de-sac • W Floral Drive between Hamline Avenue N and the dead end • James Circle between W Floral Drive and the cul-de-sac • Gale Circle between W Floral Drive and the cul-de-sac • Norma Circle between W Floral Drive and the cul-de-sac Streets proposed for reclamation: • Wedgewood Drive between Old S.T.H. 10 and the cul-de-sac • Brueberry Lane between Old S.T.H. 10 and Parkshore Drive • Parkshore Drive between Old S.T.H. 10 and the cul-de-sac Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka explained that in accordance with Council direction, a Feasibility Report has been prepared that details the proposed improvements, neighborhood impacts, estimated costs and financing for the proposed project. Staff reviewed how the project would be funded and recommended the Council receive the feasibility report and order a Public Hearing to be held on September 25, 2017 for the 2018 PMP. Councilmember Holden asked if the residents were given rough estimates on the project costs at the recent neighborhood meeting. Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka reported staff had provided this information to the neighbors in attendance. Councilmember Holmes questioned if this project would include curb and gutter. Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka stated this would be included in the project. Mayor Grant inquired if the sewer lining was part of the combined project.
