Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Matthew Bachler, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Planning Commission Appointment – Matt Dixon <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Motion to approve Resolution 2017-026 appointing Matt Dixon as a regular member of the <br />Planning Commission with a term expiration of December 31, 2019. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Arden Hills Planning Commission has seven regular members, plus two named alternates <br />who can sit as voting members when a regular member must be absent. One of the alternate <br />positions is currently vacant and Commissioner Angela Hames has requested to be reappointed <br />as an alternate member, creating one regular member vacancy. <br /> <br />Matt Dixon, an Arden Hills resident, has submitted an application to serve on the Planning <br />Commission. An interview panel consisting of Council Liaison Fran Holmes, Chair Roberta <br />Thompson, and Senior Planner Matthew Bachler interviewed Mr. Dixon on August 9. After <br />reviewing the interview panel’s recommendation, Mayor Grant recommends appointing Mr. <br />Dixon to the Planning Commission for a three-year term expiring on December 31, 2019. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A.
