Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2017 Sewer Lining Project <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br />$400,000 Low Bid $197,398.00 <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Utility <br />Fund/Surface Water Fund <br /> <br />Requested Action <br />Adopt Resolution 2017-027 Awarding the 2017 Sewer Lining Project to Michels Corporation, as <br />the lowest responsive bidder in the amount of $197,398.00. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />The 2017 Capital Improvement Program identifies $400,000 for sanitary sewer lining. Storm <br />sewer lining is also included in the bid in the amount of $14,651.50. On August 14, 2017, the <br />City Council adopted Resolution 2017-023 approving plans and specifications for the 2017 <br />Sewer Lining Project. Bids were opened on September 7, 2017. <br /> <br />Seven (7) contractors submitted bids.
