City Council – Arden Hills <br />November 15, 2017 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />P:\Planning\Comprehensive Plan\2018 Comprehensive Plan\Memos\WSB Memo 11202017.docx <br />• The former City Hall property on Highway 96 is change from Neighborhood Business to <br />Medium Density Residential. <br />• The Bremer Bank site is changed from Light Industrial to Mixed Business. <br />• The B-4 zoned properties along Dunlap St are changed from Mixed Business to Light <br />Industrial. <br />• The former Lake Johanna Fire Station is changed from Public & Institutional to Very <br />Low Density Residential. <br /> <br />The other changes to the Land Use Chapter are predominately adding the B-4 properties, <br />Neighborhood Business, Gateway Business, and the employment versus consumer <br />recommendations from the Commercial, Industrial, and Higher Education study. These issues <br />are discussed on page 6-9 through 6-11. <br /> <br />Technical Element <br />The Potable Water, Sanitary Sewer, Surface Water Management Plan, and Transportation plans <br />are provided within the draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan. These elements are listed as <br />Appendixes and would be separately produced and maintained by the engineering department <br />after the adoption of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />That the City Council provide any direction or guidance regarding the draft 2040 Comprehensive <br />Plan update. <br /> <br />Next Steps <br /> <br />On December 6, the Planning Commission and Economic Development Commission will review <br />the entire draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />On January 3, the Planning Commission with hold a public hearing for the draft Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />Thank you, <br /> Eric Zweber, AICP <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />A.
