City of Arden Hills – 20430 Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: September 28, 201609 Amended: December 12, 2016 <br />9-8 <br />improvements include a new playground as well as a dog park through <br />acquisition of a previously underutilized existing ballfield. <br /> <br />o Crepeau Nature Preserve – Add additional unpaved paths within the <br />park. <br /> <br />o Cummings Park – Explore the possibility of adding irrigation to the soccer <br />fields. This will enhance the quality of the fields and allow for additional <br />usage. Add benches along the paths and park amenities. <br /> <br />o Floral Park –Additional unpaved looped paths could be constructed in the <br />park to provide more walking and nature watching opportunities. Add <br />benches along the paths and park amenities. Provide pedestrian pathway <br />connections/accessibility to amenities. Consider reprogramming the <br />existing ballfield to pen space to provide greater flexibility and use of this <br />space. <br /> <br />o Freeway Park - Consider paving the hockey rink for year-round use. <br />Explore additional pedestrian routes to provide enhance circulation to <br />amenities in the park. Upgrade existing half basketball court. <br /> <br />o Hazelnut Park – Replace the warming house with a new structure and <br />provide a safer access to the rink. Install shaded benches near <br />recreational features. Add lights from parking lot to skating rink. Add a <br />picnic shelter or pavilion to meet the usage demands of the park. Recent <br />improvements include the addition of a gaga pit and dog park through <br />reuse of the existing ice rink. The City is also in the process of acquiring a <br />portion of the parking lot from the adjacent trinity Lutheran Church for <br />potential redevelopment in this location. <br /> <br />o Ingerson Park – Add a connecting path to Lexington Avenue, Fernwood <br />Court, and Lake Lane, utilizing a sewer easement to Fernwood as a path <br />corridor and Lake Lane as a path access point. Consideration should be <br />given to providing additional pedestrian walkways to existing amenities. <br /> <br />o Johanna Marsh – Resurface tennis courts, add a park sign, and add <br />benches. The existing tennis courts will be removed and the park will be <br />reprogrammed to meet the needs of the immediate neighborhood and <br />community. <br /> <br />o Lindey’s Park – Provide benches. Utilize the Bocce Golf Course for <br />recreation programming. The addition of a trail planned for 2018
