League of Minnesota Cities Model Contract: 10/10/2016 <br />City Manager or Administrator Employment Agreement Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />City of _______, Minnesota <br />Employment Agreement <br /> <br />AGREEMENT made this _______ day of _______, 20_______, by and between the <br />CITY OF _______, a Minnesota municipal corporation ("Employer"), and _______ <br />("Employee"). <br /> <br />The parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. POSITION. Employer agrees to employ Dave Perrault as its City Administrator. <br />Employee agrees to serve as City Administrator in accordance with state statutes, City <br />ordinances and the Code of Ethics of the International and Minnesota City/County Management <br />Associations, and to perform such other legally permissible and proper duties and functions as <br />the City Council shall from time to time assign. <br /> <br /> <br />2. PENSION PLAN. Employer shall contribute to PERA as required by State law <br />for Employee or an alternate pension plan, if selected by Employee, authorized by State law. For <br />this agreement, Dave Perrault, has elected to receive his employee and employer contributions in <br />his own 401 account via ICMA. <br /> <br /> <br />3. SALARY. Beginning 1/1/2018 the Employee will start in Grade 22 Step 5 <br />($118,152.48 annual salary based on 2017 scales, may change depending on COLA decision by <br />Council). Employer and Employee agree that an initial performance review will be conducted on <br />the Employee after six (6) months and annually thereafter. The employee will receive a step <br />increase at the six month review (7/1/2018) and annual review (1/1/2019), with subsequent step <br />increases annually in conjunction with any COLA increases. <br /> <br />4. SENIORITY. For purposes of employment benefits such as sick leave, vacation <br />leave, and the like, Employee will increase to the next benefit-level on their current schedule of <br />benefits (for employees hired prior to June 29th, 2015) to year 6 as defined in the Personnel <br />Policy and advance accordingly. <br /> <br /> <br />5. PTO. The employee will increase to the next benefit-level on their current <br />schedule of benefits (for employees hired prior to June 29th, 2015) to year 6 as defined in the <br />Personnel Policy and advance accordingly. <br /> <br /> <br />6. VACATIONS. See PTO. <br /> <br />
