An informal review of other City
Council salaries has been conducted. Upon consulting with the City Attorney, Joel Jamnik, the
Council is able to vote at any point to increase their salaries; however, it will not take effect until
after the next election. The Council is also able to add an automatic inflation adjustor to their
salaries, and the City Attorney recommended tying the adjustor to the CPI.

Mayor Grant discussed the City of Mounds Views compensation rates along with other
neighboring communities. He supported the City setting its rates in alignment with Mounds
View.
