Joynes, Sr., City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, Interim Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Personnel Changes <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />City Council Should Consider <br /> <br />The City Council should consider making the below changes as previously discussed by the City <br />Council and recommended by the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />-Elevate the City Clerk to Grade 14 Step 4 effective 1/1/2018 with a revised job description, with a <br />subsequent step increase on 7/1/2018 and annually thereafter. <br /> <br />-Elevate the Senior Planner to the title of City Planner, elevate to Grade 15 Step 2, and have duties <br />consistent with the City Planner job description effective 1/1/2018, with a subsequent step increase <br />on 7/1/2018 and annually thereafter. <br /> <br />-Assign additional emergency management duties to the Public Works Superintendent with an <br />associated pay increase of a flat $1,500 per year (not subject to Cost of Living Adjustments, but <br />may be adjusted by Council as directed) to be distributed on a hourly basis effective 1/1/2018. <br /> <br />Background and Discussion <br /> <br />The City Council previously discussed these changes at the November 20, 2017 work session, <br />which were recommended by the Personnel Committee. The Council supported the changes, and <br />directed staff to move forward with the changes at the December City Council meeting.
