Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 5J <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: January 8, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: County Road E/Pine Tree Drive Improvements – Final Payment #8 <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br /> $1,568,654.75 $1,618,265.47 MSA, Assessments, <br />Ramsey County <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Approving Final Payment #8 to Park Construction, Inc. in the amount of $128,043.46 for the <br />County Road E/Pine Tree Drive Improvements Project. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council awarded the County Road E/Pine Tree Drive Improvements Project to Park <br />Construction, Inc. on February 9, 2015, in the amount of $1,349,913.06. With change orders and <br />quantity adjustments, the final contract amount is $1,618,265.4 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />There was additional work performed for payment with this pay estimate in 2015 related to the <br />traffic signal installation, lighting installation, and storm sewer repairs, which totals $45,309.30 <br />(Schedule 2.0, Items 4 through 8 of the Pay Estimate). Of this amount, the City’s share equates <br />to $4,768.36, the remaining amount being the responsibility of Ramsey County. In addition, the <br />final payment reflects the release of the 5% retainage. Final payment #8 is in the amount <br />$128,043.46. The Contractor has provided all necessary closeout documentation. Elfering & <br />Associates has provided a letter (Attachment A) recommending approval of the final payment. <br /> <br />
