Recommend Denial: Motion to recommend denial of Planning Case 17-028 for a Site Plan <br />Review at 1504 Edgewater Avenue, based on the findings of fact in the January 10, 2018 <br />Report to the Planning Commission, and the following additional findings of fact: findings to <br />recommend denial should specifically reference why a deviation from the accessory structure <br />location requirements is not justified in this case. <br /> <br />3. Table: Motion to table Planning Case 17-028 for a Site Plan Review at 1504 Edgewater <br />Avenue for the following reasons: a specific reason and/or information request should be <br />included with a motion to table. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Comments <br /> <br />Although a public hearing is not required for a Site Plan Review application, notice was prepared <br />by the City and mailed to property owners within 1,000 feet of the subject property. Staff has <br />received comments from the property owners at 3201 Ridgewood Road and 1505, 1535, and <br />1557 Edgewater Avenue expressing their opposition to the request. Copies of the <br />correspondences can be found in Attachment E. <br /> <br /> <br />Deadline for Agency Actions <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills received the completed application for this request on November 6, <br />2017. Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City was required to act on this request by January <br />5, 2018 (60 days), unless the City provided the petitioner with written reasons for an additional <br />60 day review period. <br /> <br />The applicant was notified on December 13, 2017 of the City’s request for an additional 60-day <br />review period. Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City must now act on this request by <br />March 6, 2018.
