Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: February 12, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Cooperative Agreement for County Road F <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $300,000.00 $753,104.94 Special Assessments, PIR (Water) <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />The Council is requested to approve Cooperative Agreement PUBW2017-21R with Ramsey <br />County for the roadway improvements for County Road F between Lexington Avenue and <br />Hamline Avenue. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Ramsey County is leading the design and reconstruction of the County Road F between <br />Lexington Avenue and Hamline Avenue. The project is scheduled for construction during 2018. <br /> <br />The attached Cooperative Agreement, which has been reviewed by the City Attorney, spells out <br />the City’s financial contribution to the project and the City’s long term maintenance <br />responsibility. The City’s financial contribution is estimated at $753,104.94 and includes a 10% <br />contingency for road work and an overhead at a rate of 12% for design and 12% for construction <br />services. Approximately $135,853.50 is for watermain replacement between Hamline Avenue <br />and Innovation Way. The remainder of the City’s share ($617,251.44) is for intersection <br />improvements, including a traffic signal, at Innovation Way which will be funded through <br />special assessments to benefitting properties. <br /> <br />The City’s long term maintenance items include sanitary sewer, watermain, and trail.
