Page 1 of 1 <br />CONSENT ITEM – 5F <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: March 12, 2018 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Resolution 2018-021 Approving Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Master Joint <br />Powers Agreement <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$ $ $ <br />Council Should Consider <br />Resolution No. 2018-021 Approving the State of Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension <br />(BCA) Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with the City of Arden Hills on behalf of its Prosecuting <br />Attorney and the Court Data Services Subscriber (CDSS) Amendment to CJDN Subscriber <br />Agreement. <br />Background/Discussion <br />In April 2013, the City Council approved a new BCA Master JPA along with a CDSS <br />Amendment to the JPA. Attached is a copy of the April 29, 2013 Council memorandum. <br />The City’s Prosecuting Attorney, Joseph Kelly, recently received notification that the BCA JPA <br />and CDSS Agreement Amendment are expiring soon (see attached March 1, 2018 email). As <br />Attorney Kelly indicated, there are no startup fees or changes to costs.
