Two bids were received. The bids were checked for mathematical accuracy and tabulated. <br />It should be noted that the project was bid with a Base Bid and two Bid Alternate combinations as follows: <br /> <br />1. Alternate 1A – Old Snelling Avenue PVC Watermain Improvements <br />Alternate 2A – County Road E2 PVC Watermain Improvements <br /> <br />2. Alternate 1B – Old Snelling Avenue HDPE Watermain Improvements <br />Alternate 2B - County Road E2 HDPE Watermain Improvements <br /> <br />The recommended basis of award is the Base Bid plus Alternates 1A and 2A for the PVC watermain <br />(lowest cost alternative combination). Please find enclosed the bid tabulation indicating the low bidder as <br />Sunram Construction, Inc., Corcoran, Minnesota, with a bid total for the Base Bid plus Alternates 1A and <br />2A in the amount of $3,376,269.85.
