<br />ARTICLE XXIII — HOLIDAYS <br />23.1 The EMPLOYER will provide twelve (12) paid holidays as follows: <br />Holiday <br />New Year’s Day <br />Martin Luther King Day <br />Presidents' Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veterans Day <br />Thanksgiving Day Day After <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Eve Day <br />Christmas Day <br />New Year's Eve Day <br />Observance Day <br />January 1 <br />Third Monday in January <br />Third Monday in February <br />Last Monday in May <br />July 4 <br />First Monday in September <br />November 11 <br />Fourth Thursday in November <br />Fourth Friday in November <br />December 24 <br />December 25 <br />December 31 <br />23.2 In the event that New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day, or Christmas Day <br />fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be a paid holiday. If any of the preceding <br />holidays fall on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be a paid holiday. <br />23.3 Employees required to work on a designated holiday shall be compensated one and <br />one-half (1.5) times their base hourly pay rate for each hour worked, plus Holiday pay. <br />Employees required to work on the actual holiday shall be compensated two (2) times <br />their base hourly pay rate for each hour worked plus holiday pay if the actual holiday <br />qualifies for holiday pay in section 23 1. <br />ARTICLE XXIV — UNIFORMS ALLOWANCE <br />24.1 The EMPLOYER shall provide each employee with an annual uniform allowance of two <br />hundred seventy-five dollars ($275). The Employer shall provide each employee with an <br />annual uniform allowance of five hundred dollars ($500.00) and an ANSI approved safety <br />boot allowance of one hundred and seventy five dollars ($175.00). <br />24.2 Employees shall purchase uniforms and jackets from the same vendor semi-annually <br />not to exceed the maximum allowance. Employees shall purchase ANSI approved <br />safety boots and uniforms from the same vendor not to exceed the maximum allowance. <br />Uniforms are to be approved by the Public Works Director. <br />24.3 Receipts are required for all items purchased . The Employer will provide the <br />Employee with an authorized 3-in-1 reflective safety jacket every other year and a reflective <br />rain flagger suit every three years. <br />24.4 Employees will purchase and wear only uniform items that have been authorized by the <br />City and are prohibited from wearing personal items as uniform items. <br /> <br />24.5 Receipts are required for all items purchased. 11
