<br />Page 2 of 2 <br />• Develop a long-term plan for the City’s Business Retention and Expansion program and <br />complete vis its at priority businesses <br /> <br />To date, the EDC has worked with the Communications Coordinator on developing a strategy for <br />improved communications with the business community. This include d recommendations on <br />changes to the City’s website and developing a flyer for new business that provides contact <br />information for staff and key points about Arden Hills (Attachment B). As staff becomes aware <br />of new businesses that have opened, EDC members will complete a short visit to welcome the <br />business to the community. <br /> <br />Additionally, the EDC has decided to focus its Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) visits in <br />the Red Fox/Grey Fox District and has come up with a list of priority businesses to contact. Staff <br />anticipates the BRE visits will be completed later this spr ing and into the summer. The EDC will <br />provide the EDA with a summary report on the visits at the end of the year. <br /> <br />The EDC will soon begin planning for the annual S tate of the City events with the <br />Communications Coordinator.
