Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: April 23, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Old Snelling Road Watermain <br />Utility Occupancy License between the City of Arden Hills and Canadian Pacific <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> Council Should Consider <br />Approving the Utility Occupancy License No. 5017301 between the City and Soo Line Railroad <br />Company (doing business as Canadian Pacific) and authorize the Mayor to execute. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />With the City’s Old Snelling Trail and Watermain Improvement Project, the City will be <br />constructing a watermain in Old Snelling Road beneath the Canadian Pacific railroad bridge. In <br />order for the City to complete the work, Canadian Pacific requires a utility occupancy license <br />(Attachment A) which authorizes the City to install, maintain and operate the watermain under <br />the railroad tracks.
