<br />May 22, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />For this study, Westwood conducted weekday a.m. and p.m. peak hour turning <br />movement counts at the intersection of County Road 96 and Snelling Avenue. These <br />counts are summarized on Figure 2. The results of these counts show very heavy peak <br />hour traffic volumes on Highway 96, while traffic volumes along Snelling Avenue are <br />relatively light. <br /> <br />In addition, Westwood was asked to look at the traffic volumes at the weekday a.m. <br />and p.m. peak hour traffic volumes at the existing church driveway at Highway 96. <br />Because the counts occurred during weekdays, the trip volumes to and from the church <br />during the a.m. and p.m. peak hours were .very light. <br /> <br />Table 1 illustrates the existing performance and operation of the study intersections. <br />Westwood utilized the industry standard Synchro and SimTraffic software to <br />determine levels of service and queuing lengths. Levels of service are defined in the <br />Appendix.
