City of Arden Hills Chapter 13 Zoning Code <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Section 1325 – General Regulations <br />Adopted: November 13, 2006 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />2. The total floor area of accessory structures located in the rear of a <br />principal structure, the total floor area of all such accessory structures <br />shall not exceed twenty-five (25) percent of the minimum required rear <br />yard area for the principal structure; and, <br /> <br />3. No more than two (2) accessory structures shall be permitted on a <br />lot primarily used for residential uses. <br /> <br />B. All Districts. Accessory structures in all zoning districts shall not <br />cause the property to exceed any of the regulations of the underlying <br />Zoning District in Section 1320. <br /> <br />Subd. 5 Permanent Accessory Structures. <br /> <br />A. Site Plan Review. Permanent accessory structures in any district, <br />except residential uses in the R-1, R-2, and R-3 Zoning Districts, and on <br />through lots in the R-1, R-2, and R-3 Zoning District, shall be subject to <br />Site Plan Review and Council approval. <br /> <br />B. Exterior Finish. The exterior finish of accessory structures shall be <br />compatible in appearance and material used with the principal structure <br />served by the accessory structure except as provided for in Chapter <br />1325.01 Subd 5.C of this code. <br /> <br />C. Membrane Structures. Membrane Structures (as that term is defined <br />in the International Building Code) may be permitted in the B-1, B-2, B-3, <br />B-4, N-B, I-1, I-2, and I-Flex Districts subject to Site Plan Review and City <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Subd. 6 Temporary Accessory Structures. A temporary accessory structure, <br />including membrane structures (as that term is defined in the International Building <br />Code), may be permitted subject to the following provisions: <br /> <br />A. Temporary accessory structures may be in place for up to six (6) <br />months in the B-1, B-2, B-3, B-4, NB, GB, CC, I-1, I-2, and I-Flex Districts <br />with an approved permit from the Building Official. The Building Official <br />may deny a permit for a temporary accessory structure or limit the size, <br />time, place, or other feature(s) of the accessory structure if the Building <br />Official finds that the accessory structure would create a negative impact <br />on the property on which it is placed or other properties in the City. <br /> <br />B. Temporary accessory structures are allowed for up to two (2) days in <br />a given thirty (30) day period without a permit in the R-1, R-2, R-3, R-4, B- <br />1, B-2, B-3, B-4, NB, GB, CC, I-1, I-2, and I-Flex Districts subject to all of <br />the following provisions: <br /> <br />1. The temporary structures shall not be permanently attached to the <br />ground; <br />
