ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL — APRIL 23, 2018 11 <br />11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Scott commented on National Police Week. He noted he recently attended an <br />Open House hosted by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department with the Mayor and <br />Councilmember McClung. He explained community policing was discussed and tours were <br />provided on the mobile command center. <br />Councilmember Scott noted the Scoops for Troops event would be held on Sunday, April 291h at <br />10:00 a.m. He encouraged all to attend this family friendly event which would be held at the <br />Army Training Center. <br />Councilmember Scott sent his gratitude to the Public Works Department for clearing the City <br />after the recent snowstorm. <br />Councilmember McClung thanked the Public Works crew for their great work in clearing the <br />City after the recent snow event. <br />Councilmember McClung commented Ramsey County had a new Under Sheriff and his name <br />was Rich Clarke. <br />Councilmember Holmes commended the Ramsey County Sheriff Department and the Public <br />Works Department for the great work they do in the City of Arden Hills. <br />Councilmember Holmes stated the NYFS Leadership Luncheon would be held on Wednesday, <br />May 2"d <br />Councilmember Holden indicated she would be attending the NYFS Leadership Luncheon. <br />Councilmember Holden asked if the B-2 zoning district setbacks would be reviewed by the City <br />Council. <br />City Planner Baehler stated staff could schedufc this for an upcoming Council worksession <br />meeting. <br />Mayor Grant supported this item being placed on a future worksession agenda. <br />Mayor Grant recognized and thanked the Public Works employees for their assistance during the <br />recent storm where the City received 15.7 inches. He was proud of the fact Arden Hills was <br />cleared out before several neighboring cities. <br />Mayor Grant congratulated Rich Clarke for being named Under Sheriff with Ramsey County. <br />ADJOURN <br />
