Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />DATE: June 25, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Night Work Construction Activity Waiver <br />County Road F Improvements <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve the Night Time Construction Activity Waiver for the County Road F Improvement <br />Project between Tuesday, June 26 and Wednesday, August 15, 2018. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />C. S. McCrossan, the Contractor for the County Road F Improvement Project, has requested the <br />ability to complete portions of the construction in the early morning beginning at 6:00 a.m. <br />Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. This request is being <br />made to lessen traffic impacts and improve scheduling of various construction activities. C. S. <br />McCrossan has requested that early morning work be allowed throughout the project duration. <br /> <br />City Ordinance does allow for a Waiver to the Ordinance to allow night time operations. The <br />specific wording of the Ordinance is reproduced below: <br /> <br /> <br />Section 630 - Construction Activities <br /> <br />630.01 Prohibited Activities. <br /> No person shall engage in or permit construction activities involving the use of any kind of <br />electric, diesel or gas powered machine or other power equipment except between the hours of <br />7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on any weekday or between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on any <br />weekend or holiday. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS – 10A <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
