The <br />review included taking interior and exterior air temperature <br />and CO2 readings as well as infrared surface temperature <br />readings at building interior and exterior at select locations. <br />From these readings, an effective R value of each wall surface <br />can be estimated. Estimated effective R values and actual <br />performance may vary due to variations in infrared <br />temperature readings as well as wall surface temperature <br />variations due to HVAC supply air patterns. <br />The intent of this envelope performance estimation is to <br />provide an order of magnitude overview of the general thermal <br />performance of the exterior envelope. For a more accurate <br />determination of the existing building envelope’s performance, <br />a detailed assessment should be executed. <br />November 15, 2017 Measurements <br />Exterior Air Temperature: 31.6° <br />Exterior Humidity: 63.2% <br />Exterior CO2: 1234 ppm <br />Interior Air Temperature: 72.6° (average) <br />Interior Humidity: 23.5% <br />Interior CO2: 1507 ppm <br />Average Exterior Surface Temp: 28.4° <br />Average Interior Surface Temp: 70.3° <br />Average Effective R Value: 13.15 (estimated) <br />Energy Use
