ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JULY 9, 2018 5 <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott reported on Wednesday, July 18 the Rice Creek Watershed District would <br />be holding a community input session for the Rice Creek Trail Segment that runs through <br />TCAAP. <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott explained Ramsey County would be holding a remote collection site for <br />hazardous waste drop-off every Friday and Saturday in July in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung commented the City Council would be holding a Commission and <br />Committee BBQ on Tuesday, July 10. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung reported on Thursday, July 12 there would be a community meeting <br />regarding a proposed senior housing development at North Heights Lutheran Church at 7:00 p.m. <br />He explained the developer would be presenting the plan and a Q&A session would follow. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes questioned if the staff had set dates for the State of the City event. <br /> <br />City Administrator Perrault reported staff would be addressing this matter with the Council at <br />their upcoming worksession meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes noted she planned to attend the community meeting regarding the <br />proposed senior housing development on July 12, along with the Commission and Committee <br />BBQ on July 10. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if the City had heard back from the County regarding park signs. <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka reported new playground signs had been ordered <br />and would be placed on existing posts. She anticipated this work would be done in the next three <br />weeks. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden discussed a home on Lake Johanna Boulevard that has removed <br />landscaping along the lake and requested staff investigate that there are woodchips on the <br />boulevard. <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka commented she would have staff investigate this <br />and would report back to the City Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden explained there was a house on County Road E in dire need of <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant requested staff contact the owner of record to ensure the house was brought into <br />structural compliance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden reported Hot Dog with a Deputy would be held on Wednesday, July 11 <br />at Perry Park from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden provided the Council with an update from the Civic Task Force. She <br />noted this group has a number of talented individuals serving.
